Growing up, Dr. Raven was teased because she was smart and would finish her work early in class, answer questions first, and even ask for more homework. Instead of dumbing herself down, she decided to wear her brilliance inside and out. This personal experience, combined with her encounters with people who felt that her sparkle and shine didn't belong in the world of science, inspired her to create Smarty Party.
